This resource makes a great classroom display or hang around the room or hall for bunting. There is a card for each of the days in December, each displaying a Christmas picture. Link to maths where children can order the numbers from 1 to 25 or 25 to 1. Duplicate and children can match the cards. Link to speaking and listening and children can try to recall and describe what picture goes with which number. Enlarge and use in an assembly or Christmas production. There is a blank template included that the teacher can photocopy/print out for each child. Children can then design their own cards and make a collection for a class display.

This resource links to pattern, colour and shape as well as topics on clothing. There are 6 examples of pairs of shoes /trainers that show the soles and the patterns on these. Children can talk about the colours, shapes and patterns. They can then look at a selection of shoes /trainers examining their soles /patterns. They could consider why certain shoes may have particular patterns. Children could bring to school a pair of shoes from home that show interesting patterns. They can draw the patterns and/or make up patterns of their own. Sheet 1 of the resource shows black and white pairs of trainers. These can be photocopied for children to colour or paint.

There are 2 ways of playing the game: Children take turns to roll a dice to move along the path. There is a blank template for children to use to make their own board game and spinner. For best results, print onto card, or children can paste onto card.
